As winter begins to loosen its grip, the Shawnee team is already looking ahead to a busy and productive spring season. While colder conditions may have slowed some aspects of production, our crews never lost momentum. In fact, this has been one of the busiest first quarters we’ve seen in recent years, and the pipeline shows no signs of slowing down.
That continued growth is no accident. It’s the direct result of the craftsmanship, professionalism, and pride our team brings to every job site, every day. Our reputation continues to grow because of you.
A Clean Job Site Reflects Quality Work
At Shawnee, we believe that how a job site looks says a lot about how a job is run. Long before the final product is delivered, the condition of the site sets expectations for clients, architects, subcontractors, and anyone else walking through the project.
A clean, organized job site communicates confidence, professionalism, and control. On the flip side, a cluttered or chaotic site can raise doubts — even if the work itself is solid.
Here are a few simple but critical standards we expect across every project:
Site Fencing, Signage & Entry Points: Ensure fencing and signage are upright, secure, and visually presentable at all times.
Daily Housekeeping: Clean as you go. Remove scrap, packaging, and debris throughout the day—not just at the end.
Organized Material Storage: Keep materials stacked neatly in designated areas and protected from the elements.
Clear Walkways and Work Areas: Maintain safe, unobstructed paths and high-traffic zones.
Designated Waste & Recycling Areas: Use dumpsters properly and prevent buildup of loose debris.
Lead by Example: Leadership on-site should set the tone. Cleanliness is part of quality workmanship.
Consistency in these habits not only improves efficiency and safety, but also reinforces the standard of excellence we expect on every Shawnee project.
Focusing on What Truly Lasts
This quarter’s reflection comes from 2 Corinthians 4:18:
“Because we look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen; for what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal.”
In an industry built on tangible results, it’s easy to focus only on what’s visible—completed structures, finished spaces, and measurable outcomes. But the truth is, the most lasting impact we make isn’t always something you can see.
It’s found in:
The way we treat each other on the job site
The integrity we bring to our work
The pride we take in doing things the right way—even when no one is watching
Long after a project is completed, those are the things people remember. That’s the foundation we continue to build on.

Projects in Progress
We’re proud to continue delivering high-quality work across a growing list of projects, including:
AJ’s Bar & Grill: Fort Wayne, IN
Fruition Industries: Rome City, IN
Each project represents not only the trust our clients place in us, but also the skill and dedication of our team bringing those visions to life.
Preparing for a Busy Summer
If you’ve been with Shawnee for any length of time, you know what’s coming — summer is go-time. With multiple projects already lined up and our schedule filling quickly, we’re preparing for increased demand across the board. That means we’ll likely be looking to bring on additional help to support our crews.
Some of our strongest team members have come through employee referrals, so we encourage you to continue that tradition: Building a strong team starts from within, and we appreciate your help in continuing that effort.
Welcome Back, Andrew Moses
We’re excited to welcome Andrew Moses back to the Shawnee team. Andrew brings a long history with the company and steps right back into his role as a superintendent. His experience and leadership will be instrumental as we take on some of our more complex and demanding projects this year.
We’re proud to have him back and look forward to what’s ahead.
Employee of the Quarter: Mike Tippmann
Kicking off 2026, we’re proud to recognize Mike Tippmann as our Employee of the Quarter.
Mike exemplifies what it means to be part of the Shawnee team:
A highly skilled carpenter
A consistent mentor to others
A positive presence on every job site
Beyond his technical abilities, Mike brings energy, humor, and leadership that elevate everyone around him. Congratulations, Mike — well deserved!
Employee Spotlight: Christy Lonero
When you talk about Shawnee, it’s impossible not to mention Christy Lonero.
With 27 years on the team, Christy represents the very best of what Shawnee stands for:
Exceptional craftsmanship
Attention to detail
Consistency and reliability
Whether it’s precision work, speed, or overall quality, Christy continues to raise the bar. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, riding dirt bikes, and cruising on her motorcycle.
Her impact on Shawnee goes far beyond her skillset—she’s a cornerstone of our culture and a true example of long-term excellence.
Thank you, Christy, for everything you’ve contributed over the years. We’re grateful to have you as part of the Shawnee family.
Looking Ahead
As we move into spring and gear up for a busy summer, one thing remains clear: the strength of Shawnee Construction is built on its people.
From the job site to the office, it’s the commitment to doing things the right way that continues to drive our success.
